This area of our website will be a place to help guide you and your parents through the difficult process of college recruitment. As you have probably figured out by now, deciding where volleyball is going to fit into your life beyond HS is a complicated and stress invoking endeavor. The combination of our "College Night Seminar", this new area of our website and our coaching staff should help to guide you and alleviate some of the stress. Our commitment to our players is 100%, and we will do whatever is necessary to help you find that "perfect fit" college for each United player.
We ask you to begin by answering a few basic questions...
Questions to Consider First
What are you going to be when you grow up?
Do the schools you are considering offer a degree program in your area of interest?
It is highly unlikely that you will be a "paid" volleyball player. So your college choice should reflect your goals for your future. Please let Academics be the #1 priority when you start considering schools.
How far away from home, is too far?
Some players can go thousands of miles away from home - and have a great college life... Others will need to get "home" once in a while. Try to narrow your schools by location next.
Are you a "big" school person, or a "small" school person, or somewhere in between?
School size is another important consideration in choosing a school.
Where do "YOU" see volleyball fitting into "YOUR" college life?
The various levels of the college game place vastly different demands on the college student. Consider where do you see yourself playing - D1, D2, D3 NAIA? All levels are wonderful and allow for a player to play at their best and have a rewarding college athletic experience.
